About Leon Dean, MD of observer films
Highly experienced Edit Producer and Self-shooting PD. Edit produced three seasons of the acclaimed Netflix series 'Drive to Survive'. I've shot, directed and edit produced single documentaries (Trump’s Unlikely Superfans, Fox Wars, The Yorkshire Clamper) and prime-time series, both observational documentary and fixed-rig. I've presenter led experience with my BBC documentary 'Trump's Unlikely Superfans' being presented by Angela Scanlon. My BBC1 film 'Fox Wars' was one of the highest rated 10.35pm's in recent years with almost 1m more viewers than the slot average. It received a plethora of positive reviews with the Telegraph calling it "wryly revealing portrait of the creature that divides the nation." and the Guardian saying "Fox Wars felt as genuine as GBBO was artificial. It may not have been, of course, but credit to the director and producer for succeeding in making an usual slice of people's lives look that way." I’m known for making warm, often very funny films with a proven ability to quickly forge relationships with key contributors in often sensitive circumstances. I have hundreds of hours of FS7 shooting. Regional director as I live in Cambridge. I am a A2CofC qualified drone operator with drone.
